Week 1
Got stucked in the snow and could not go to the intro day for the SI#29.
Week 2
Online Methods class with Marloeas where we discussed pattern languages as in archtecture's aproach for city planning where each attern is a problem and a general solution of the problem. (e.g. the citizens being disconnected from bodies of water -> having small canals integrated into the plans). This way of thinking about problem solving could give the same solution but many iteration for one proble which could also end up ove generalizing specific issues.
We also talekd about Keywords and Keywords for radicals : the contested vocabulary of late-capitalist struggle . These two books offer a way to establish a vocabulary on certain keywords as form of start learning about a certain topic. The latter also sees major changes in language (meaning crisis) as an indicator of political changes.
She proposed to start a collective glossary writing called Grapevine which I transclude to the bottom of this page.
