Introduction
Before XPUB, I worked as an editor for a government-funded art curation agency in Southern China. My role spanned branding, copywriting, and radio show planning. This made me deeply reflective about the relationship between systems, narratives, collectivity, and individuality.
XPUB Projects Overview
Across my three Special Issues, I explored one recurring theme: how the body is disciplined by systems, and how we resist.
SI25 – Sound of making: protocals of collective performance
Sound as Systemic Labor
Sound was a tool to explore invisible discipline. Like call center scripts—sound is repetitive and systemic. By editing and transforming these soundscapes, I aimed to create moments of agency. We produced collaborative radio shows on topics like water, protocal, and customer service systems. Using different tools like researching open resource sound files onlines and reading scripts, writing and creating a set-up scne to express ourself.
After this topic, I tried to create a radio show to show a Chinese artistic labor's labor, I made a protype of it [1], it showed in worm radio.

I have participated in book fairs like Flyleaf Fair in Berlin and BYOB in Amsterdam, where I immersed myself in the zine and art book communities. These experiences allowed me to exchange ideas with other creators and experience the vibrant, diverse worlds of self-publishing and independent art.
Exhibitions and Workshops
Exhibitions: My work was shown in events such as PietzWart and KABK's Language(s) allumuin Exhibition in garage rotterdam, offering an opportunity to showcase my exploration of body, language, and technology in local art space.
Workshops: I conducted a workshop called "From Face-Reading to Personal Soundscapes", where participants used Chinese mole-reading traditions to create music, allowing them to challenge the historical interpretations of the body and engage in collective creation.

Future Direction
Currently, my creative practice is evolving toward more participatory performance and interactive workshops. I aim to deepen the intersection of programming, sound, and body while exploring new modes of engagement with audiences as active co-creators.
I plan to expand my work into interactive art projects, inviting audiences to actively participate in shaping the experience. This could involve participatory art performances, where the audience is no longer just a passive observer but an active participant, co-authoring the experience with their bodily actions or creative inputs.
Conclusion
My work is a reflection of the complex relationships between technology, labor, and the body. I aim to create spaces where people can reconsider their role in the systems that govern their lives and explore new possibilities for agency and self-expression.
