Mock Assessment (T4): Difference between revisions

The trimester 4 mock assessment is designed to support your preparation for the formal assessment that takes in December. The format of the mock assessment is an accelerated version of the formal assessment (20 minutes instead of 40), with the other key difference being the inclusion of first year students in the place of the assessors^[1]. In this way the mock assessment works as a kind of group critique, where you can test out your ideas, and crucially, receive feedback on how these ideas are in fact received by fellow students. In this way, you can receive useful and possibly unexpected insights and references that can still shape your process before the formal assessment moment.

↑ NB: In the actual assessment this will be a panel of the course director, tutors, and an *external advisor* -- an invited expert from the field who formally is there to control the assessment procedure, but who we also choose from the field to provide an "outside" perspective.
