Using the [https://web.hypothes.is/web-app-start/ hypothes.is] browser extension, I invited two of my close friends, that happen to be fans as well, to start a fanfiction bookclub. Each of us was asked to provide one fic, which we all would then have to read, and annotate with our thoughts and impressions. I encouraged them to choose pieces from fandoms the other two are not a part of, or a pairing we don't really care about. | |||
The point of this instruction was to research whether there is interest to be found in fanworks, despite not being familiar with the original piece of media that inspired the story. Sure, all three of us are familiar with the platform on which we read the fics, or some choices, traits and quirks in the writing style that the wider fanwork community seem to share to some degree— but it was still interesting to explore what our experience will be like, learning about the characters and the canonical world they were "born in", through the lens of transformative art. | |||

Taught myself how resistors work, specifically on the breadboard— how to do a linear or a parallel connection.
Fanfiction Book Club
Using the hypothes.is browser extension, I invited two of my close friends, that happen to be fans as well, to start a fanfiction bookclub. Each of us was asked to provide one fic, which we all would then have to read, and annotate with our thoughts and impressions. I encouraged them to choose pieces from fandoms the other two are not a part of, or a pairing we don't really care about.
