What are differences between Archiving and Documentation?
Can footnotes pose a method for (not only writing with many, but) intersectionality of theory? (intersectionality doesnt feel like the right word here, also theory is to broad, sth like voices heard? that would mean polyvocality, and yes, but beyond that? maybe more directed towards action?)
is tagging inherently violent? ('do artifacts have politcs?', afterword 'from A to <A>')
do interfaces have politics?
what implications of hiddenness can we find in modern technology?
what is the role of meta data in (post) digital publishing practices? (thinking of historical role of marginalia / pecia system, today protocol, markup, code comments ... though meta data might be to unprecise as terminology here)

what tickles curiosity?: intimacy of those moments; seeing how something is made, process (+ materials); also tells about embeddedness/ relation/ evnironment of things
what to contribute to conversation?: open or closed are seen as binary in technology (open source, sth is readable, high level or low level language) striving for ambiguity; can there be relations made between findings opening up of software, web and hardware?

what to find out?: what is digital paratext and how is it different from print paratext?; how does it work? what does it influence?
what tickles curiosity?: interest in footnotes and citation; i love books as objects; importance of paratext to make a 'main' body of text
what to contribute to conversation?: understanding of digital text as also having an (or many) environment; examining hierarchies/ power dynamics in digital publications

can an extended understanding of the concept of paratext break down the percieved boundary between code based and printed text?

what to investigate?: text as (user) interface; interfaces for writing
what to find out?: a history of text interfaces (from the telex to terminal to high level text editor today), how have they changed over time, what links different technologies; reading is writing, writing is reading; implications of 'interface' (conventions) and 'user' (agency, in distinction to reader or programmer) but also everything that comes with 'text' (translation, language, authorship, visuality)
what tickles curiosity?: intersection of historical approach, hci studies and post structuralism (barthes)
what to contribute to conversation?: linking (and comparison?) of different text interfaces over time and tools; critical understanding of above mentioned terms

What is the role of text in user interfaces?

what to find out?: how does citation work differently than in print, what is similar?; why is it important; citation as a matter of care for resource, infrastructure and community (just as we care for archiving, mirroring etc) -- maybe there is also a connection to labour this takes
what tickles curiosity?: citation as a feminist practice (Sara Ahmed, lauren fournier, autotheory, barthes); an interest in digital infrastructures and how they impact/ change/ allow for citation to be done differently
what to contribute to conversation?: mapping different existing citation practices (also shows its gaps); technologically, visually, textually
