How to compress videos?

Which compression should be used should be used?

ffmpeg -i input.mov -c:v libx264 -c:a aac -movflags +faststart  output.mp4

In HandBrake click on [Open source] and select the file you would like to transcode.
Select the preset.
For the web dont forget to select [Web optimized]
