After lots of protocols and machines in trimester 1 and a theme based approach in trimester 2, the focus of trimester 3 is: DIY/DIWO research infrastructures! The idea is to use these 3 months to explore how you can make/configure new/existing tools to make observations differently, document/publish your research or build archives of collected materials.

Compared to last trimesters, this one is much more open, which will leave more space for you to decide what you want to work on and take initiative! As always, you can work individually, in groups or all together, this is up to you.

We started the trimester with a focus on making small web based tools: we used flask to see how you can do that. We will continue with Flask, but also intentionally want to leave space in the schedule for suggestions from your side. You can use prototyping to connect to the things discussed in the Special Issue and connect to interests you wanted to connect to but did not find the chance for.

During the other input sessions, we will connect to the SI theme and connect to this idea of making/configuring tools to do research with. During the peer sharing mornings, you are asked to share your process. During the prototyping support tutorials, you can ask questions and get support.
