14:00 - 17:40: XPUB1+XPUB2 MOCK ASSESSMENT (XPUB2) in the Aquarium

FORMAT (20 minutes total per slot):

• 10 minutes presentation
• 2 minutes "step outside"
• 8 minutes feedback/discussion

As the presentation moment is brief (an accelerated version of the December assessment), it's probably best to focus on the core of your project proposal (the what, why, hows). Feel free to use "performative" elements, bringing objects to show/listen to. As many of the XPUB1's have not yet had an occasion to see/experience your work, now is the time to remind them of your main concerns and perhaps an opportunity to pose questions to them in terms of how they are receiving the work.

What is a mock assessement?

The trimester 4 mock assessment is designed to support the preparation of your grad project proposal (and presentation) for the formal assessment that will take place in December. The format of the mock assessment is an accelerated version of the formal assessment, with the other key difference being the inclusion of first year students in the place of the assessors. In this way the mock assessment works as a kind of group critique, where you can test out your ideas, and crucially, receive feedback on how these ideas are in fact received by fellow students. In this way, you can receive useful and possibly unexpected insights and references that can still shape your process before the formal assessment moment.
