			Any time I'm going on holiday, my attention is focussed on the travelling day. I'm blinded by this day, so that when I arrive at my destination, I'm always surprised: I didn't realize there would be something after the travel.

			After I wrote [[User:Thijshijsijsjss/PTMoMNBM/Pen_Plotted_3D_Movie\|this ptmomnbm]] 306 days ago, on 2024-05-29, I finally made an experiment for a pen plotted 3D movie. 2D screenings have been exciting so far, and there's many things to explore from here. Just like with with the Ice Cream Assembly Line last week, it feels good to focus on a project other than my grad project -- to remind myself that this is not the one project to rule them all, the one in which all my curiosity must manifest somehow.

	I usually very much enjoy my talks with Michael -- who as of this week is not only the final boss of the xpub dungeon, but also my grad supervisor. Especially the meandering ones tend to be inspirring and centering in some way in the reflective act of shaping (chasing?) my practise. But this week -- the first meeting under the name of grad supervision -- I left a little discouraged. Maybe because it felt like my aims for the public moment seemingly hadn't quite reached Michael. As he had expressed resonance at earlier stages of the project, this may have caused me to feel even more uncertain about the direction to move in. Or maybe we discussed all the wrong details. Or maybe my mind was just elsewhere, left with the uncertainties and frustrations of another life, bleeding into this Thijs's conversation. Anyway, I am happy that these meetings will be happening this trimester. Should be insightful.
