These trails connect historical landmarks, stories, sites, cemeteries, museums, battlefields, etc. Related </ins>to <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">the Second World War. They are usually centered around the Liberation of Europe starting from Normandy, all the way through Paris, Brussels, the Netherlands, and into Berlin. The exchange trips I did were with Europeans ages 18-25. However, I was offered a place despite being overage because they had a spot left. I did two Exchange trips with </ins>them<ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">. One to the Ardennes, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and the Netherlands themed on The Battle of the Bulge and The Final Breakthrough to Germany</ins>, <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">and one to Normandy and Paris themed on D-Day and the Liberation from Normandy to Paris. Participants are required to create content during the trip in one of three ways: Historical writing, video, or podcast. I did historical writing. However, I would like to look into the podcast. I listened to some podcasts by the LRE Foundation themselves, and they are related to my passion and </ins>what <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">I do: Talking about the history of the Second World War through visiting sites, museums, </ins>and <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">memorials. This is </ins>what <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">we call the act of Remembrance. Young people are </ins>not <ins style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">as reflective as when they are adults.
